A great light…light has dawned on those living in the land of darkness… -God creates Light on day one and lights on day four -New Jerusalem will have no sun or moon but The Lamb will be it’s light -Jesus has always been the light of the world 3. For to us a child is born, to us a son is given - For to us a child is born – humanity of Jesus - To us a son is given – Divinity of Jesus 4. How does the Given Son change your life? - Increased Joy - Freedom from oppression - Load off of your shoulders 5. How does the Given Son change your life? - Full submission and dependence on Christ (The Government will be on His shoulders) - Seeking His counsel (Wonderful Counselor) - Finding refuge in Him (Mighty God) - Finding provision in Him (Eternal Father) - Resting In his Peace (Prince of Peace) Application Questions: - Have you been rescued from the darkness by Jesus Christ? Has the truth of God giving you His son to save you transformed your life? - Are you able to say with confidence that your life is marked by deep and lasting Joy of living in the kingdom of Jesus? - Are you free from all forms of oppression? - Have you released the grip of control over your life and placed it on the Shoulders of Jesus? - Do you run to your Wonderful Counselor with life problems? - What are you doing today to allow the light of Christ dawn more and more in your heart to experience Him in His fulness?
